Sunday Blessings and a Pilgrimage Ahead

Sunday Blessings and a Pilgrimage Ahead

As is tradition on Sundays, I went to Mass this morning to give praise and thanks to the Lord. But today wasn’t just any Sunday—it marked the final one before we depart for our pilgrimage to Rome. My heart is full of gratitude, anticipation, and reverence.

At the close of Mass, Father Marino offered a beautiful blessing and special send-off for our group. His words were moving and grounding, reminding us that while we may be traveling far from home, we carry with us the spirit and prayers of our parish family. I am so thankful to be part of such a supportive and faith-filled community.

In just one week, I will have the extraordinary privilege of walking through the Holy Doors in Rome—a profound symbol of God’s mercy and grace. To stand at the heart of the Catholic Church, in the city where Saint Peter, the original pope and rock of our faith, rests… it’s hard to put that into words. I feel both humbled and honored.

As I prepare for this journey, I ask for your prayers, and I promise mine in return. I will be praying for all of my friends and family back home, carrying your intentions with me through every sacred step. My hope is to represent our parish and community well on this world stage, with humility, love, and devotion.

Feeling excited. Feeling blessed. Feeling ready.
