Blog Post Title: Morning Rides and Conversations with God

This morning, like many before it, I set out on my usual bike ride just as the world was waking up. With The Catechism in a Year playing through my headphones and the breeze at my back, I found myself doing what has now become the most important part of my ride—talking with God.

For the entire hour, I had an uninterrupted conversation with my Heavenly Father. I didn’t hold anything back. I shared my worries, my hopes, my anxieties, and my gratitude. It was raw and honest, and it brought me so much peace. There’s something profoundly healing about handing over your fears and letting God carry what you were never meant to hold alone.

At the apex of my ride, I stopped and took the photo you see above. The sun was just rising over the water, casting golden light through the clouds. It stopped me in my tracks. That moment was a reminder that God’s beauty is everywhere—if we would only take the time to look. And more importantly, appreciate it. Nature has a quiet way of revealing God’s glory and majesty, and when we open our hearts, we can see His fingerprints all around us.

One of the greatest rewards of speaking to God daily—whether on a bike ride, during your commute, or in the stillness of your room—is the calm that begins to take root in your soul. It’s the strength that rises when you remember you’re not alone. It’s the comfort in knowing that no matter what lies ahead, God already sees it and is walking with you through it.

I want to encourage you—don’t keep your thoughts and burdens bottled up. Talk to God. Out loud. In your head. With tears. With joy. Just be real with Him. He wants your heart, just as it is.

God is listening. And He’s ready to give you peace, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose—if only you’ll make time to talk.

Let your everyday moments become sacred. Because when you invite God in, even a simple morning bike ride can become holy ground.
