A Heart Full of Gratitude – My Last Day in Cancun

As I sit on the beach here in Cancun, soaking in the last rays of sunshine before heading back home, my heart is full—overflowing, really—with gratitude.
There’s something about the ocean that brings me closer to God. Maybe it’s the vastness of the water, reminding me of how infinite His love truly is. Maybe it’s the rhythm of the waves, steady and unchanging, much like His faithfulness in my life.
This vacation has been a gift. Not just a break from the busyness of everyday life, but a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and be reminded of the simple, beautiful truth that God provides. He provides peace when we feel overwhelmed. He provides rest when we are weary. And He provides beauty—everywhere, if we’re paying attention.
I’ve had moments here where I just paused, looked around, and felt overwhelmed—not by worry or stress, but by how blessed I truly am. Not everything in life is perfect, but God’s grace fills in the spaces where things fall short.
On this final day by the sea, I’m carrying home a heart that’s lighter, a mind that’s clearer, and a spirit that’s been refreshed. God met me here—in the sounds of the waves, in the warmth of the sun, in the laughter of others, and in the quiet moments of reflection.
Psalm 107:1 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
That verse has been on my heart all day. And it’s true—He is good. So, so good.
As I head back, I pray I keep this spirit of thankfulness with me—not just when I’m on vacation, but in the everyday moments that make up the rest of my life. Because God’s blessings don’t end when the trip does. They’re with us every step of the way.
Thank you, Lord, for this time. For Your beauty. For Your presence. For always providing more than I deserve.
